As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the security of our online learning environment, we are implementing Multi- factor authentication (MFA) for all student accounts on the University network. This additional layer of security will help protect your personal information and academic records from unauthorized access.
What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)? MFA is a security process in which you verify your identity through two different methods: something you know (your password) and something you have (a mobile device or authentication app).
How to Set Up MFA for Canvas:
- Log in to Canvas: Visit Canvas Instructure and log in with your student credentials.
- Access Account Settings: Add your MyAmridge email address
- Follow the Prompts: You will be guided through the process of setting up MFA, which involves providing your phone number for SMS or downloading an authentication app
